Lancaster Aikido Club (formerly Lancaster Aikikwai) has been serving the Lancaster community since its foundation in 1976. It is one of the oldest martial arts clubs in the Lancaster area, overseen by Steve Nardone Sensei, 4th Dan, since its creation.

As one of the largest and fastest growing Aikido clubs in the U.K. it is a thriving place which continues to provide a friendly, respectful environment for the study and practice of Aikido.

This Lancaster city Aikido Club is open to all, children, university students, women and men, whatever your reasons for wanting to practice Aikido.

We also warmly encourage short term visitors to the area to come and practice with us, whatever your previous Aikido experience might be.

£5.00 per session for adults

£4.00 per session for full-time students

£3.00 for children (under 16)

I joined Lancaster Aikido over 18 months ago and have since managed to progress to 4^th kyu from a background of no martial experience. Out of the large choice of martial arts in Lancaster, this club offered a formal but relaxed and non-competitive environment. I found it was especially welcoming as a beginner and I was allowed train at my own speed. All the instructors are friendly and encouraging, tailoring advice to my own areas weakness while still teaching the class as a whole. The multiple seminars throughout the year are an excellent opportunity to learn under other instructors and train with other experienced martial artists on the mat.
